Nostra, one of Irelands leading IT Service Providers, announced today (Monday, 6th  of October) that it has signed an agreement with The Office of Public Works (OPW) to take over its ICT support contract for the next few years.

Senior IT Consultant and Co-Founder of Nostra, Gary Byrne, spoke with great enthusiasm about the opportunity for Nostra to be associated with such a reputable state body, and highlighted the excitement in Nostra at the prospect of working closely with the OPW into the future.

“Nostra has gone through a period of sustained growth over the past few years, and this is a direct result of our dedication to great customer service. We now offer a 24 x 7 IT support service to a large number of companies around Ireland, the UK, and across the globe. All Nostra engineers are Microsoft certified and Microsoft enterprise professionals and are qualified to the highest level in a wide swathe of technologies. We spend a lot of time around staff training, and with the latest technologies in our area constantly changing and evolving we need to ensure that we always understand what the best value proposition is for the customer.

Our team at Nostra are the reason that we continue to be a success and to grow.  We have team members who have been with us since day one and who are the very fabric of Nostra. This gives us the ability to carry out all IT support jobs at the highest level of quality and in the fastest turnaround time. It also allows us to add new team members and in turn create employment, and this is one reason why the OPW contract is so important to Nostra. It allows us to bring a team of very highly qualified engineers into our group and become an integral part of the Nostra team.

This is a landmark deal for Nostra, and we are very proud to start our relationship with the OPW. We are aware of the huge responsibility that this deal represents and will endeavour to meet and exceed expectations wherever possible.”

The deal includes ten full time engineering resources allocated to the OPW. This is an area of expertise for Nostra who have provided full time engineers to large organisations such as Dawn Farm Foods, Avolon Aerospace, and ISS Facility Services for a number of years.

The contract does not represent the first venture into IT Support for semi-state and state bodies for Nostra, Having provided IT support for the likes of Bord Iascaigh Mhara for a number of years, and having recently taken over the support contract for the Office of the Secretary General to the President.

The OPW operates in a large diaspora of locations throughout Ireland, which only serves to heighten the importance of Nostra’s nationwide coverage and market leading priority response times, something in which they have a proven track record.
