The Account Sales Executive is responsible for the day to day account management duties within the sales team. Their role is to support the field sales team while building relationships within our customer base. The executive is involved with sales from the opportunity stage right through to completion and invoicing. The role requires communicating with the Service Desk Administrators, Project Manager, Service Team, and Finance Department.
With the ever changing world of technology, the role of the Internal Sales Executive requires the individual to be familiar trending technologies through training programs and by working closely with vendors to our customers receive the best advice.
Duties & Responsibilities
Administration must be maintained and kept up to date as directed.
Maintain relationships with existing customers while selling, upselling and cross selling our service offerings.
Analyse our customer accounts through reporting including identifying opportunities.
Provide daily administrative support to the wider sales team.
Respond to customer requests, in a timely manner and as required, directly engage with customers as appropriate.
Proactively calling customers for information gathering and seeking new business opportunities.
Demonstrate understanding of client requirements and manage expectations.
Familiarisation with customer accounts and regular touchpoint calls to check in.
Supplier, Partner and Third Party engagement and ability to negotiate preferable pricing.
Desire to become an expert on our CRM platform from quoting customers, monitoring quotes, servicing opportunities and managing targets.
Comfortable agreeing lead times with customers and setting expectations.
Minimum educational requirements
Understanding of the technology space the company operates in including future trends and competitor values.
Proficient use of standard office software and platforms (Microsoft Office, CRM solutions etc.).
Proficient use of Autotask
Minimum previous experience
Proven account management or other relevant experience in the technology sector for at least 2 years
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and board level.
Proven ability to manage multiple accounts at a time while paying strict attention to detail.
Excellent selling, listening and negotiation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment.
Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability, and maturity.
Ability to prioritize among competing tasks.
Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
