Field Service Engineer

Our clients are predominantly business owners who are focused on ensuring their day-to-day operations perform as they should, I.T, networks, systems, and cybersecurity are generally not something they have time to consider and that is where we step in. We manage all the I.T. requirements so that people don’t have to worry about whether their data and systems are protected.

The Role

For this particular role, we are looking for team members who can approach challenges with confidence; improvising, adapting, and overcoming as required.

We are looking for an engineer with a ‘can do’ attitude. This role would involve predominantly working on customer sites, maintaining and repairing hardware and systems as well as installation of new systems.

Building relationships with customers will be key to success.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting and diagnostics of a variety of hardware and systems, escalating to vendor support when appropriate

Deliver support on issues of varying complexity

Ensure operating practices are safe

Support other team members

Where required, co-ordinate with 3rd parties

Be the customer advocate

Work autonomously, delivering a variety of tasks, leveraging the larger pool of back end resources when required

Identification of improvement projects and reporting back to account managers

Understand compliance requirements on different customer sites

Be cognizant of operational security, identifying changes to reduce risk along the way

Requirements

Industry Accreditation

2 to 3 years experience in the IT industry

A drive to gain further experience and grow into different roles – training and development is provided and encouraged

Full Drivers license

Preferred Experience/Skills

Experience installing and building PCs

Connecting Comms equipment routers and switches

The successful candidate will be confident and personable, with an ability to influence the mood of the team and ease stress for others when problematic situations present. Their work ethic will not waiver in times of crisis. As we are growing and our work is evolving flexibility is a must.
